Miriam Groß is a ordained minister of the Evangelical-Lutheran Church in Bavaria (Evangelisch-Lutherische Kirche in Bayern) and as a Pastor of the EKD (Evangelische Kirche in Deutschland) presently serves in New York City. She is married to Herbert Groß and they are blessed with four children between 17 and 11 years old. After being a vicar in Franconia (Germany), she served in Scotland and Munich (Germany).
In her blog “Church and Society” she reflects on themes, that involve Church, Society and Politics with an international perspective. The center of her theological reflections, which is deeply rooted in Lutheran theology, is driven by the commandment of loving neighbor and self through advocating for peace and justice in a increasingly globalized world.
